Vabuk Pahari

I am a PhD student at the cs@max-planck program at Max-Planck-Institute for Software Systems (MPI-SWS). I am fortunate to have Krishna P. Gummadi (MPI-SWS) as my advisor, and I also collaborate with Bala Chandrasekeran at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Patrick Loiseau at Inria, and Alan Mislove at Northeastern University. My research focuses on Blockchains, Cryptocurrencies and Decentralized Finance (DeFi). I am working on fair prioritisation of transactions in blockchains, identifying privately issued transactions and their implications for transaction prioritisation. I obtained Bachelors (Double Major in Mathematics and Computer Science) and Masters in Computer Science from Wesleyan University (2015 - 2020), where I was supervised by Saray Shai. In My Masters Thesis, I analysed the robustness of large theoretical and real-world networks under different types of node removals.
